Shipping CO2 output is twice that of aviation...

And yet the champagne socialists and environMENTALISTS are not out blocking access to ports - would that be because their Stoli and Bolly come via ship?

The BBC reports that "here are few accurate measures and even fewer restrictions on the amounts of carbon dioxide that ships can emit at present".

So, I take it we can all gleefully fly off on holiday then, without the unwashed luddites making a nuisance of themselves at the airport?

You wouldn't be suggestting that pumping tons of gas into the air is bad for things now, would you? I thought that you thought it was all a natural process and the activities of man, either on ships for on planes, was having about as much effect as a fart in a hurricane...

What would you prefer, Steve: one pie via air freight or a shedload of pies from a container ship?

(Mind you, I heard last night that action against CO2 production was advocated years ago by such left wing nutters as Mrs T.)

As you know, I like my pies. I also have no problem with shipping or flying. It's the hypocrisy of the hippies that gets me, as usual.

It's all a hippy conspiracy to get us riding bikes and wearing cable knit sweaters [shudder] which has been hijacked by big business as the latest 'scare' story to get middle class idiots buying shite at inflated prices. Fools.
