Apparently a row has erupted over a golly exhibition in Englandshire...
The BBC report (clearly a slow news day) says...
"A collection of golly badges on display in Westbury Manor Museum in Fareham has been criticised for its perceived racist connotations."
So, shall we uninvent the golly then? These things are collector's items, and a part of history, whether you take it with racist connotations or not. It's up to you whether you think it's racist or not. It's up to you whether you go to see it or not...
What the hell is the problem? The article even points out that nobody has actually complained to the museum about the exhibit... The give-a-fuck-o-meter is pegged on 0 here.
This is a collection of thoughts and statements about things that annoy me. I am a big, angry man. Hear me roar, or piss off and give me peace.
